“Hope & Help” Event for Nashville Residents and Families Facing Hardships

WHAT

“Hope & Help” event where Metro Social Services is bringing case managers to the community and providing on-site resource and referral assistance. Those facing hardship and needing help with various basic needs such as housing, applying for SNAP benefits, job referrals, Journey Pass, etc., can sit with a social worker and get connected to help they need. A limited supply of food boxes will be available to clients facing food insecurity and need to take a box home.

Last month, MSS launched this monthly event, assisting more than 100 people.

This is one of several “Community Connect” events recently launched by MSS, designed to bring services directly to communities in need and remove barriers such as transportation to get the help they need.

MSS is a one-stop shop agency for those facing hardship. Clients can avoid the overwhelming and frustrating process of calling numerous places for support. Our skilled and trusted case managers can help them easily navigate the process and achieve social and economic stability.
